Bombshell: Gachagua Exposes Ruto’s Secret Gold Deals With Sudanese Warlord
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has accused President William Ruto of doing business with Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti.
Speaking on the night of Monday, February 24, Gachagua alleged that Ruto is prioritizing his personal business deals over Kenya’s national interests. He claimed that gold is being smuggled from Sudan into Kenya before being exported to Dubai.
According to Gachagua, the President has damaged Kenya’s international reputation by engaging in questionable dealings. He argued that Kenya follows a policy of not interfering in the affairs of other countries, yet the government has allowed rebels, who face international sanctions for genocide, to hold meetings in official facilities in Nairobi.
Gachagua further warned that Sudan is now threatening to stop importing Kenyan tea, which could hurt the country’s economy. He blamed this on Ruto’s personal business connections with the RSF, insisting that the Sudanese gold is transported to Nairobi before being sent to Dubai.

The former Deputy President also claimed that Ruto had once asked him to invite Hemedti to Kenya while he was still in office. Following the President’s request, Gachagua arranged for Hemedti’s visit, welcomed him upon arrival, and personally introduced him to Ruto. However, he revealed that after making the introduction, he was asked to leave the meeting. He insisted that the discussions between Ruto and Hemedti were purely about business and had nothing to do with Kenya’s interests.
“I invited Hemedti, received him, and took him to the President. Their discussions were about business, mainly gold, and had no connection to Kenya,” Gachagua stated. “After the introduction, I was asked to leave because the meeting had nothing to do with national affairs. If it had, I would have been allowed to stay.”
The Kenyan government has faced criticism recently for allowing the RSF to hold a meeting at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
During the meeting, RSF leaders and their allied political and armed groups signed a political agreement to establish a rival government. The agreement, which was signed on Sunday morning, lays the groundwork for what they call a ‘Government of Peace and Unity.’ It proposes a secular, democratic, and decentralized government with a single national army.
