Adan Keynan Resigns from Bipartisan Talks, Successor Announced
Kenya Kwanza Bipartisan team replaced Eldas MP Adan Keynan on Wednesday, May 3, after the lawmaker agreed to step down.
Nominated Senator Esther Okenyuri, a committee member. Confirmed to GossipA2Z that the Kenya Kwanza Coalition, via National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa, announced that Keynan had been removed from the Bi-partisan committee and replaced by Saku MP Dido Rasso.
“We have consulted with Hon. Keynan and the Coalition’s top leadership, and Hon. Adan Wehliye Keynan has graciously agreed to recuse himself from the bipartisan committee in the national interest.
“We have nominated Dido Rasso to replace the Honorable Adan Keynan on the Bipartisan Committee,” a statement signed by Ichung’wah read in part.

In their statement, the Ichung’wah expressed their appreciation for the conciliatory approach. Taken by their Azimio la Umoja counterparts and their willingness to engage in mutually beneficial dialogue.
Ichung’wah stated, “As we have always stated, we are willing to bend over backward for the sake of national progress, national unity, and national stability.”
Ichung’wah disclosed that the coalition’s top leadership spoke with him. And he agreed to recuse himself from the bipartisan committee in the county’s best interest.
The Azimio la Umoja coalition leaders contacted by GossipA2Z. Could neither confirm nor deny reports that the planned mass action had been canceled.
“We will release a statement regarding this matter. “Any communication that does not originate from the leadership of Azimio la Umoja is therefore invalid,” stated one of the coalition’s leaders.
Raila Odinga announced on Tuesday, May 1, that their biweekly protests would resume on Thursday, May 4, following a one-day break.
“At the crack of dawn, police established stations throughout the Nairobi metropolitan area and city center to prevent us from carrying out our planned peaceful protests. Unfortunately, we were unable to present the petitions to the four offices due to the chaos.
“Despite these developments, we are encouraged by the Kenyans’ resolve to reclaim their nation. We advance. Tomorrow, we will take a break to regroup and strategize. Our demonstrations will resume on May 4th. Same meeting, same office, and same people,” stated Martha Karua, leader of Narc Kenya.
