ACK Bishops: Hands Off Kenyatta Family, Ruto Told
Anglican Bishops have urged President William Ruto to concentrate on addressing Kenyans’ concerns and to leave the Kenyatta family alone.
The clergy, led by Bishop David Kodia, implored the President to accord the former first family the respect it deserves and urged Ruto to demonstrate tolerance and reach out to his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta, to negotiate a ceasefire.
“We want the President to give the Kenyatta family the latitude they deserve as the country’s former first family.” “A phone call to the former President will save this nation from the embarrassment we have witnessed in recent days,” said Kodia.
After visiting patients at the Jaramogi Oginga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu, the ministers of God addressed the press.

Last week, during the three days of protests called for by the Azimio la Umoja coalition, a scuffle between protesters and police officers resulted in the hospitalization of several individuals.
Friday night, police raided the home of Uhuru’s son in Karen, Nairobi, ostensibly to seize illicit firearms.
Uhuru visited the residence and refuted allegations that his family possessed illegal firearms and that he was financing anti-government demonstrations.
The Bishops warned against the government’s evident use of vengeance and suspicion to govern the nation.
“No one will remain in this country if it is governed based on suspicion, terror, and personal vendettas. “The nation’s economic woes cannot be resolved by stoking tension through irresponsible speech,” said Kodia.
According to him, the country urgently requires a national conversation for a peaceful transition given the current state of affairs.
