Ruto Urges Odinga: ‘Apologize to Kenyans!’
President William Ruto has requested that opposition leaders apologize to the nation for organizing anti-government demonstrations that resulted in the loss of life and destruction of property in various regions of the nation.
Ruto stated on Friday at the Kichwa cha Kati fish market in Malindi, Kilifi County, that it is dishonest for Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leaders, such as Raila Odinga and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, to express concern for the lives lost during the demonstrations when they were the ones who planned the disorderly riots.
According to Ruto, Odinga, .and his Azimio brigade are insincere in their lamentation of the Kenyans who perished during demonstrations last week.
Ruto stated, “Those leaders should be ashamed of themselves and apologize to the people of Kenya for the mayhem they inflicted on the people of Kenya, and we will eliminate violence from Kenyan politics.”

“Had they not planned these violent demonstrations, the outcome would have been different; they should be ashamed.”
As their primary mission is to safeguard the lives and property of Kenyans, the President added that the police will not be intimidated in the line of duty.
Ruto uttered these words while accusing Azimio’s upper brass of orchestrating attacks against the military personnel.
Ruto, who is on an official tour of the Coast region, stated, “We cannot tolerate the destruction of property and human life in the name of political competition…things will never be the same again.”
Regarding the Kenya Kwanza government’s negotiations with the opposition led by Raila Odinga, Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa stated that the Ruto faction will only tolerate publicly held negotiations.
“Ifanyike Wakenya wote wawe mashahidi ili pasiwe na mambo ya kibinafsi, bali mambo ambayo yatasaidia Wakenya kama kuinua uchumi,” he stated.
