According to a new book, Prince Harry was knocked to the ground by Prince William during the Meghan Markle controversy.

In his new memoir, Prince Harry claims that he was physically attacked by Prince William after a disagreement about Meghan Markle’s behavior.

Following a violent disagreement over Meghan Markle, Prince Harry alleges his brother Prince William grabbed him by the collar and knocked him to the ground in a struggle.

The Duke of Sussex claims in a leaked excerpt from his new biography Spare that he fought with his elder brother at his London house in 2019 left him with cuts and scrapes on his back.

The now-Prince of Wales is reported to have arrived at Harry’s Nottingham Cottage home to discuss their “piping hot” relationship, with their couple shouting over each other throughout the squabble.

Harry then ignored his brother’s assertions that he was trying to help and went to the kitchen, where he told him, “Willy, I can’t speak to you while you’re like this,” according to the Guardian.

In the excerpt from the book, the Duke writes: “He dropped the water, called me another name, and then charged at me.

“It all occurred so quickly. So quickly. He grabbed my collar, ripped my necklace, and threw me to the ground. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which smashed beneath my back, the fragments flying and cutting into me.

“I lay there disoriented for a time before getting to my feet and telling him to get out.”

In the aftermath, the Prince of Wales reportedly requested his brother not to tell Meghan about the altercation, prompting Harry to exclaim, “You mean you attacked me?” to which he replied, “I didn’t attack you, Harold.”

Harry stated that he did not immediately inform his wife of the incident, but she subsequently discovered “scrapes and bruises” on his back.

During the dispute, William is believed to have called Megan “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive,” remarks that the younger brother said were based on “the press narrative” about his wife.

Another surprise in the book is that King Charles joked about having an “heir and a spare” on the day Prince Harry was born.

Millions of people throughout the world are eagerly anticipating the release of the Duke’s book on January 10.

Its title is a sly dig at the phrase “an heir and a spare,” which refers to the succession of power following the death of the monarch.

Now, Harry, 38, has confessed that the word has been with him since the day he was born.

On the day of his birth, the now-King told his mother, Princess Diana, “Wonderful! You’ve now provided me with an heir and a spare.

    “I’ve finished my work.”

The stunning claims come after Prince Harry was shown saying he wanted his “father and brother back” in a trailer for a forthcoming ITV interview.

The 90-minute special, hosted by News at Ten’s Tom Bradby, will air on January 8, two days before Spare is released.

In a separate interview with CBS News, which will run the same day, Harry criticizes Buckingham Palace for failing to defend him and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, before they stood down as senior royals.

In a separate US interview with Anderson Cooper from CBS News’ 60 Minutes, which will be broadcast the same day, Harry recounts a “betrayal” by Buckingham Palace and believes there were “briefings, leakings, and planting of tales against me and my wife.”

According to the book, King Charles implored his sons not to make his “last years a misery” in a meeting with the brothers following Prince Philip’s funeral.

In its chapters, Harry recalls a meeting with the then-Prince of Wales in April 2021, before asking them, “‘ Please boys, don’t make my latter years a misery.”

Kensington Palace did not respond to requests for comment.
