Karua Slams Ruto’s Vendetta Against Uhuru’s Family
Narc Matha Karua, the leader of a Kenyan political party, has criticized President William Ruto for recent assaults on the family of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Karua stated in a statement issued on Saturday that the assault on Uhuru’s family subjects him to verbal abuse.
“It is trivial, vindictive, and inexcusable for President William Ruto’s regime to target Uhuru’s mother Mama Ngina Kenyatta, and son Jomo, as well as to relentlessly subject Uhuru the fourth president to unwarranted verbal attacks. This must end immediately, she said.
Former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta’s security was withdrawn and then redeployed before her remarks.

On Friday, police allegedly conducted a search warrant at the home of Jomo, Uhuru’s eldest son in Karen.
After the alleged investigation, the former president stated that the government must cease intimidating his mother and children to reach him. Additionally, he vowed to secure his family.
Uhuru urged the government of Kenya Kwanza to leave his family members alone.
“Let them take my security if they want, but give me your respect,” Uhuru said.
Uhuru added that he has removed his mother’s security personnel over the past few days, a move he deemed peculiar.
“In front of my mother’s home, you overheard an entire minister of the government announcing that he’s going to do I don’t know what. The individuals who have been monitoring my mother for nearly fifty years retreated at night.
“I wonder what purpose this government serves? The fact that I have been mute does not indicate that I am afraid. Come for me, said Uhuru.
He then condemned the incident and stated that he will pursue legal action.
“This incident will be handled by my attorneys,” he said.
