Babu Owino Vanishes from Wang’uru Police Station!
It has been reported that Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has been transferred from the Wang’uru police station in Kirinyaga to a location that has not been disclosed.
GossipA2Z was able to view a video of the scene on Thursday, and it showed three automobiles driving away from the police station.
Earlier in the day, friends and family members of Babu Owino rushed to the Wang’uru police station to demand that he be released from custody.
The group of MPs made an effort to get into the police station, but the officers there told them to leave.
Women who were present could be heard sobbing as others inquired as to the reason for their being harassed.
“Why are you being so rude to me in here? This is a police station!” A woman’s yelling could be heard in the distance; she said, “We were harassed at night, and now we want Babu taken to court if he has broken any law.”
On Tuesday, after Babu had returned from Mombasa, he allegedly was taken into custody.
According to reports, he was taken into custody by agents from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The purported arrest takes place amid the demonstrations against the administration that have been called for by the Azimio la Umoja group.
