Jalang’o Urges Ruto: Consult Raila Before They “Finish Me”
Phelix Odiwour alias Jalang’o, a representative from Lang’ata, has implored President William Ruto to intervene on his behalf as he is scheduled to appear before the ODM party disciplinary committee.
As he appears before the committee, Jalang’o stated that his greatest offense is that he is a friend of the President.
He spoke during Interior PS Raymond Omollo’s repatriation ceremony in Homa Bay County on Saturday.
“Next week, I will appear before the disciplinary committee of my party, ODM, because I have been summoned. “I have reviewed all of the allegations that I am Ruto’s friend,” he stated.
“I am aware that you are Baba’s (Raila Odinga) acquaintance and that you two converse. Ojienda, who is a barrister, is comparable to those who are facing similar charges, judging by the cases of others who are in a similar situation. Jamani wasinimalize kama uko.”

He also stated that the Luo people were confident they would win the general election on August 9 under Raila Odinga’s leadership, but were astonished when Ruto won.
“If the election were a test, we had a grading rubric. It was only necessary to transfer the responses. And everything went smoothly until the last minute. We have no idea how you won,” he said to Ruto.
Nine ODM legislators, including Jalang’o, have been labeled as dissidents for warming up to Ruto.
Other candidates include Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Paul Abuor (Rongo), and Tom Ojienda (Kisumu).
The dissident legislators are scheduled to appear before the ODM disciplinary committee the following Wednesday, with the party threatening to expel them.
