Navigating Uhuru’s Response to Sabina Chege’s Disciplinary Summons: Expert Analysis

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta, according to political experts. Is running out of time to respond to a summons issued by nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege.

By a letter from Sabina and her team. To the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP). Uhuru was given two days to appear before a disciplinary committee to answer allegations of misconduct.

As previously communicated through David Murathe, political analyst Martin Andati argued that the former head of state would not attend the meeting.

Saturday, May 13, he told GossipA2Z that Uhuru will use the National Delegates Conference (NDC) to overturn all of Sabina’s decisions.

“Uhuru stated unequivocally that he will not attend the meeting. Sabina could argue that since he was absent, he was properly replaced as party leader,” he explained.

Andati argued that Sabina and her team could be expelled from the party. And that they will seek redress in court. After Sabina and East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) Kanini Kega ousted him as party leader. Uhuru expelled them from the party.

However, political analyst Nafula Kisiangani opined that the current squabbles were ploys to ensure Uhuru’s peaceful departure from the political stage.

She noted that Uhuru remained the party’s leader and financier.

According to Kisiangani, the ongoing disputes were part of a long con. To have him abandon Azimio within the legal parameters.

Kisiangani added that the quarrels may have been planned to confuse and disrupt Azimio.

“This may be Uhuru’s strategy for leaving the Jubilee Party and Azimio without incident. As he is the party’s financier, some of these occurrences cannot occur under his nose without his knowledge, she told GossipA2Z.

Sabina indicated in her letter to Uhuru. That a dispute had been filed against him and received by the Internal Dispute Resolution Committee.

Part of the letter stated, “You are required to submit your response, along with any supporting documentation, to the committee within two days of this notification.”

Sabina also wants Uhuru to respond to the National Executive Council (NEC) resolutions. That led to his ouster as party leader and Sabina’s assumption of the position on an interim basis.

Anne Nderitu, Registrar of Political Parties. Is also seeking to ratify Sabina Chege’s appointment as party leader, placing the former president under siege.

Nderitu reportedly gave Uhuru Kenyatta until the 15th of May to respond to Sabina’s demands.

She will also determine the outcome of Uhuru’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) on May 22.

Moses Wetangula, the speaker of the National Assembly. Refused to approve Azimio La Umoja’s removal of Sabina Chege as the National Assembly’s deputy minority whip. But gave the opposition thirty days to get its house in order.

Thursday, May 4, Wetangula ruled that Azimio violated the law by failing to announce Sabina’s replacement immediately.
