“Sirudishi”: Diamond Platnumz Says He Was Paid KSh 19.4m to Perform in Kenya’s Furaha Festival
Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz has shared the money he was paid for his flopped Kenyan show.
How much is Diamond paid to perform?
The artiste shared a lengthy video explaining his no-show on stage at the Furaha Festival, which infuriated fans.
According to Diamond, he waited in his car for hours for his slot to perform, but it did not come.
There was chaos near the stage, and I moved to a different area. The chaos even spread to that section, too.”
Diamond said his manager called the event organizers to inquire about his arrival time on stage, but they kept postponing.
“My management eventually told them I could not perform due to security concerns.”
Diamond noted that he would never force himself to perform at a venue
“If you can’t put me on stage at the agreed time, I will leave. I respect my craft.”
He dismissed claims he didn’t want Willy Paul to perform before him.
“How does it make sense? I was the headliner, meaning other artists performed before me.
I would be stupid to stop another artiste from performing before me. He created a story to get sympathy and create beef. It’s nonsense.”

Diamond disclosed that he was paid KSh 19.4 million to perform and would not refund the money.
“I won’t refund you because you breached the contract. It was to perform on the 7th, not the 8th.”
