Police Ban Drones at Nicola Bulley’s Funeral to Prevent Inappropriate TikTok Videos
A no-fly zone was established over the church where Nicola Bulley was buried to prevent sick TikTok detectives from filming her funeral with drones.
Wednesday, a small service was held at St. Michael’s on Wyre Parish in Lancashire, close to where she was last seen.
Her family desired complete privacy as they said their final farewells, but feared that social media zombies would attempt to film the funeral with drones.
A no-fly zone was established from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the day of Nicola’s funeral, which began at 12.30 p.m.

On February 19, a TikTok detective was arrested for filming and uploading footage of the recovery of Nicola’s body from the River Wyre.
Curtis Arnold, 34, of Kidderminster, Worcestershire, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of malicious communications and perverting the course of justice, according to police.
The two-parent mother vanished on January 27 after dropping off her two young daughters at school.
Her body was discovered 23 days after a massive search operation began.

It had been spotted in the water by medium Jason Rothwell, 33, prompting criticism of the police and Nicola’s family’s private search team.
The disappearance of Nicola sparked widespread speculation and attracted conspiracy theorists to the small town.
TikTok has vowed to take action against social media sleuths who disrupted the search for the 45-year-old mortgage advisor by posting distressing conspiracy theories online.
A spokesman stated, “We have mobilized resources to monitor the evolving dialogue surrounding this case.”
“We are taking action against violations of our Community Guidelines, including the removal of content and user accounts and the ineligibility of certain content for the recommendation.”
During the search, Detective Superintendent Rebecca Smith stated that “false information, accusations, and rumors” had hampered the investigation.
She stated at a press conference, “Yes, it has significantly diverted attention away from the investigation.” In my 29 years of police service, I have never witnessed anything comparable.
Some of it has been extremely upsetting and hurtful to the family.
On GoFundMe, nearly £40,000 has been raised for her family.
Lancashire Police confirmed that they requested a no-fly zone to protect the privacy of Nicola’s family during her funeral.
