Senator Ledama Olekina’s Look: The Story Behind His Unkempt Hair

Narok County Senator Ledama Ole Kina shared in a recent radio interview that he only takes the time to comb his hair when he is in a low mood.

During the conversation, Ledama mentioned that he was feeling quite upset on the day of the interview, which led him to take some time to style his hair.

“I decided to comb my hair today. It’s a reflection of how I’m feeling deep within. Today, I’m feeling rather melancholic. I’m drained by the current state of affairs in Kenya, especially the ongoing floods. These issues stem from flawed policies, with wealthy individuals seizing land and constructing buildings in flood-prone areas,” he expressed.

He said he prefers keeping his hair messy because it gives him energy.

The outspoken lawmaker is recognized for his distinctive style, which includes occasionally wearing traditional Maasai attire. His hair is consistently tall and neat, yet slightly unkempt.

Long hair isn’t unique to Ledama; other well-known individuals also adopt this look.

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya recently engaged in a playful conversation with President Ruto, which entertained the audience.

During the encounter, President Ruto jokingly remarked, “Why haven’t you braided your hair?” referring to Salaysa’s distinctive hairstyle.

In response, the outspoken MP quipped, “If you say so, I’ll braid it,” eliciting laughter from the entire group.

Salasya, a young MP serving his first term, is recognized for his distinctive and frequently untidy hairstyle.

Comedian Chipukeezy is another public figure recognized for maintaining his uncombed hairstyle, even while serving as the official MC at the State House.
