Prince Andrew Demands Royal Mansion and Top Role
Duke of York refuses to vacate his 30-bedroom mansion in Windsor after King Charles informed him of impending cuts to the royal budget.
As part of negotiations to vacate his Royal Lodge mansion, Prince Andrew is lobbying the King for a royal estate.
The disgraced Duke of York refuses to leave the palatial 30-bedroom Windsor residence after the monarch informed him of upcoming royal budget cuts.
Andrew, 63, has offered to manage some of the Royal Family’s most prestigious estates, including the late Queen’s beloved Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire.
According to sources, the Duke pleaded with the King for a “top role,” believing that the responsibility and prestige of managing the properties would provide him with a way back into the fold.
One insider said, “Andrew is being evicted from his home and continues to demand employment despite being relieved of his duties.

“He believes that, despite not being a working royal, he is still a senior member of the family and should be treated as such.
“He is willing to assume the responsibility of running a large estate and believes he is far too young to retire.
“However, the King has a vastly different opinion than his brother and has told him bluntly that there is no possibility of this happening.”
Andrew and his daughters Eugenie and Beatrice, who are also believed to have met with His Majesty to plead their father’s case, have been unsuccessful in their efforts.
According to sources close to Andrew, despite the King’s insistence that he is not for turning, he is prepared to “dig his heels in” after being told he must vacate his Royal Lodge residence.
Andrew’s finances remain shrouded in secrecy after he paid £12 million to his sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre in an out-of-court settlement to stop a full civil trial last year, despite denying her allegations.
He also sold a luxury Swiss chalet for £17 million, which he co-owned with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. However, it is believed that he still owes money on the property.
Nonetheless, he may have benefited from a bequest in the Queen’s will.

This week, it was revealed that Prince Charles has offered Andrew more modest accommodations following the eviction of Prince Harry and his family from the Windsor estate.
The Sussexes received notice from the King to vacate their five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage one day after Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, was published. According to a spokesman, they were “OK” with it.
The King offered Andrew the residence without informing them, assuming he would relocate because his own home has a severe damp problem and requires a new roof.
The home of the Duke of York requires millions of dollars in repairs and £400,000 per year in maintenance, which palace officials believe he cannot afford in his current financial situation.
The Duke of York’s spokesperson did not respond, and Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
