Father Hopes for Breakthrough in Missing Daughter’s Case

Police investigating the disappearance of Nicola Bulley has been criticized for stating that she had “significant alcohol problems” that were “caused by her ongoing menopausal struggles.”

As the family awaits news, Nicola Bulley’s father states that “every day is a struggle.”
Three weeks earlier, Ernie Bulley’s 45-year-old daughter had vanished while walking her dog in the Lancashire village of St. Michael on Wyre.

He told Sky News, “Every day is a struggle.”
“No progress has been made since three weeks ago.
“All we need is a breakthrough to give us hope.”
Lancashire Police’s “main working hypothesis” is that Ms. Bulley, a mortgage consultant, fell into the River Wyre between 9:10 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. on January 27.
This week, police were criticized for revealing that the mother of two had suffered from “significant alcohol issues” that were “caused by her ongoing menopause struggles.”
According to the police, these conflicts have “reemerged in recent months.”
Home Secretary Suella Braverman demanded an “explanation” from police regarding their decision to release such personal information, while a former detective told Sky News that police had “destroyed” Ms. Bulley’s reputation.

This morning, Lancashire’s police and crime commissioner, Andrew Snowden, stated that officers are being “as transparent as possible” in an “extremely sensitive and complex case.”
Ms. Bulley’s disappearance has piqued the interest of the public, particularly amateur detectives and social media video producers who have developed their theories.
The police have stated that these individuals and their actions have “significantly diverted” from the official investigation.
Senior investigator Detective Superintendent Rebecca Smith stated at the time: “In my 29 years of police service, I have never witnessed anything similar.
Some of it has been extremely upsetting and hurtful to the family.
