Nairobi: Woman In Court For Pouring Boiling Oil On Neighbour Who Copied Her Hairstyle
A woman is accused of inflicting serious harm on her neighbor by purportedly pouring scalding cooking oil on her and causing a dislocated jaw. The alleged motive behind the attack is said to be the belief that the neighbor had copied her hairstyle.
Reportedly, Catherine Wanjiru is accused of scalding Sherry Nyanchomba on January 16 at their home in Dandora, Nairobi, as per an NTV report.
Late at night, Nyanchomba was on her way back home when she encountered Wanjiru at the entrance of their residence. The accused reportedly confronted her, claiming that she had replicated her hairstyle by similarly dyeing her hair.
