    Nicola Bulley’s Partner Refuses to Give Up Hope in Search for Missing Loved One

    As the search for the missing mother enters its second week, the partner of Nicola Bulley stated that something happened that day

    Paul Ansell is certain that the 45-year-old mortgage advisor did not fall into the River Wyre in Lancashire, as police suspect.

In an interview with Dan Walker of 5 News, he stated that his family is experiencing “unprecedented hell” but vowed to “never give up,” adding, “Nicky would never give up on us ever.” She never gave up on anyone. And we’re not going to give up on her; we’ll find her.’

    Mr. Ansell stated, “People cannot simply vanish into thin air; it’s impossible.” Thus, something has occurred. Something has taken place. Determine what it is. Determine what it is.

    ‘There must be a way to discover what occurred, there must be. You cannot take your dog for a stroll along a river and then vanish into thin air. That day, something happened, something.

    Mr. Ansell, describing the impact the disappearance has had on his children, stated, “As any parent knows, you want to make everything better for your children, don’t you? I am aware that I am unable to do so.

    “The only thing I can do is inform them that everyone is searching for mommy. The best people in the world are searching for mummy to give them hope that everything possible is being done to locate her.

    He added, “It simply does not feel real… I feel as though I am in the Truman show. Like… I truly believe I will awaken at any moment… How did we even get here? We are decent people.

    It comes after a close friend of the missing mother of two described the “agony” of waiting for news, following an emotional vigil at their village church two weeks after her disappearance.

    Ms. Bulley, 45, and her family would attend the medieval St. Michael’s Church on the River Wyre in Lancashire, just a few yards away from where she vanished.

    The vigil was held before a small altar with lit candles surrounding a photograph of Ms. Bulley and her partner, Mr. Ansell, smiling.

    Outside, along the village road, Ms. Bulley’s friends once again gathered for a roadside appeal.

    They held up signs with her photograph, pleading to “bring Nikki home” and requesting information.

    Heather Gibbons, a family friend who attended the church vigil, remarked, ‘It’s the center of the community, and Nikki and I have frequented it. She frequented this location with her daughters and Paul.

    ‘So, yes, I’m sitting there, remembering the times I’ve sat next to her in church, and wishing I could go back… just wishing she was here.

    Because the unknown is unbearable, that is precisely what it is: an agonizing wait that is almost worse than hell.

    “Therefore, this morning at ten o’clock we just opened the church for people to come and light a candle, just to have a chance to come, a place to gather their thoughts and be together.

    It’s not a vigil in the sense that we’ve lost hope; rather, it’s an attempt to inspire everyone to continue supporting one another.

    We simply needed a place to reflect, pray, and collect our thoughts for Nikki and her family.

    “There was a nice turnout of people who simply wanted to be present for that moment.

    The family is experiencing the worst rollercoaster ride of their lives, but they are still holding on to the possibility that Nikki will return home safely.

    They share the same perspective that nothing makes sense. They are desperate for evidence that will pinpoint precisely what occurred.

    Ms. Bulley vanished on January 27 while walking Willow, her springer spaniel, along the River Wyre in St. Michael’s on Wyre.

    She had dropped off her six- and nine-year-old daughters at school and was on her usual walk when she vanished; her phone was found on a bench overlooking the river, still connected to a call for her job as a mortgage advisor.

    Lancashire Police have conducted an exhaustive search of the river and surrounding countryside but have found no trace of her.

    The police have ruled out foul play and are investigating Ms. Bulley as a missing person; they believe she fell into the water.

    However, police maintain an “open mind” and continue to solicit information.

    Mrs. Gibbons added, ‘At this time, the police have made clear their working hypothesis, but it is just that, a hypothesis.

    “I have spoken with police as well as friends and family, and they have made it clear that all options are still available.”

    They are encouraging everyone to maintain an open mind; they do not have their blinders on.

    “We are hopeful, and we continue to hold onto hope.”

    Thursday, the focus of the police search shifted from St. Michael’s to the area approximately 10 miles downstream, where the river empties into Morecambe Bay. Police patrol boats and rescue boats were spotted on the river and in the bay.
