A short while after, two individuals hurried to the location and fatally stabbed him, abandoning his body at the side of the road.

The pair hurriedly left the area to prevent anyone from recognizing them.

As per Stephen Okal, the local police commander, investigators utilized the video footage to capture two suspects separately in Uasin Gishu County and Trans Nzoia County.

He verified that the two suspects are recognized lawbreakers who have been causing fear among the general population.

“We are in the advanced stage of the investigations and we will possibly be sending them to court tomorrow,” he stated.

The individual, aged 34, was discovered in a vehicle on Saturday evening, having sustained several stabbing injuries to their neck and chest.

Even though detectives are still unaware of the reason behind the murder, they speculate that the athlete was confronted and murdered by the two men because he collided with their motorcycle using his vehicle.

“This probably provoked them into that violent act,” Okal told the media.

One of the individuals apprehended by the detectives was discovered in possession of a knife believed to be the weapon used in the murder.

The two suspects will be arraigned in court tomorrow to face murder charges.
