CS Machogu Announces 2024 Form One Placement: How to Check Via Phone & Website

On Monday, December 18, Ezekiel Machogu, the Education Cabinet Secretary, revealed the outcomes of the Form One placement.

Addressing the audience at Lenana School, Machogu emphasized that the procedure was impartial, ensuring that the majority of candidates secured their preferred schools.

He mentioned that every single one of the 1.4 million individuals who took the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) had been allocated positions in educational institutions.

Form One admission results can be accessed by visiting the Ministry of Education portal: education.go.ke or kemis.education.go.ke.

On the Ministry’s website, proceed to search Form One placements under the page 2024 Form One Selection and Placement.

Enter the student’s index number and name and click on search.

For any queries, check on the ‘Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. Assistance may be obtained by writing an email to placement(at)education(dot)go(dot)ke.

“Some students were placed in schools of equivalent standing outside their counties. This includes those from counties with inadequate capacity,” Machogu noted.

“I assure Kenyans that this website has been tested and proven and is 100% accurate. It is in operation.”

Schools can access their combined list of students placed to their list on the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS).

As per the Central Selection, students who achieved scores exceeding 400 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) were allocated spots in their preferred national or extra-county schools.

The Computer Science department has instructed Regional Directors of Education and County Education Directors to guarantee that secondary school principals adhere to the Ministry of Education’s specified limit and do not enforce extra fees on parents.

Machogu states that the County Education Board (CEB) lacks the authority to authorize school fees beyond the specified amount.

Towards the end of the previous month, CS Machogu mentioned that the positioning would occur within a fortnight, preceding Christmas.

The placement exercise kicked off on November 27, with the CS assuring Kenyans that the process would be fair to all the candidates.
