Baby Abandoned at Airport Check-In
A ticketless baby was left at an Israeli airport check-in desk after a couple left without the child.
According to the Israeli Airport Authority, the couple, who have not been identified but hold Belgian passports, arrived late for their Ryanair flight from Tel Aviv to Brussels on Tuesday.
Even though the baby did not have a ticket, the couple proceeded through security, leaving their child behind.
Ryanair’s spokesperson stated: “These passengers flying from Tel Aviv to Brussels arrived at the airport without a reservation for their infant.
“They then went to security, leaving the infant at check-in.

“The Ben Gurion Airport check-in agent contacted Airport Security, who retrieved these passengers; this is now a matter for local police.”
The issue appeared to be resolved by the time officers arrived, according to Israel Police, with a spokesman confirming: “The baby was with the parents and there’s no further investigation.”
According to Ryanair’s website, children under the age of two can be included in a flight reservation and can sit on an adult’s lap.
There is an additional charge if the baby comes with a car seat.
“A couple and an infant with Belgian passports arrived for a flight at Terminal 1 without a ticket for the baby,” the Israeli Airport Authority told CNN.
