PAY WAR BGT Britain’s Got Talent is embroiled in a bitter pay dispute because Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon refuse to sign contracts.
In a pay dispute with Bruno Tonioli, BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon are refusing to sign new contracts.
The long-serving couple is enraged that the newcomer’s salary is the same as theirs, which is said to be £850,000.
It has thrown the ITV show into disarray, with filming set to begin on Tuesday.
“Amanda has been on BGT for 17 years, while Alesha is in her eleventh year,” a source said. They do not believe it is fair for a newcomer to walk into the show and be given the same deal as them.

“It’s a bit of a headache for BGT because filming for the next series begins on Tuesday at the London Palladium.
“Bruno was still ironing out his contract on Friday too so it’s all very much down to the wire.
“Negotiations over pay and contract details are expected to continue throughout the day.”
According to sources, Amanda, 51, and Alesha, 44, delayed signing until they found out who would replace David Walliams on the hit ITV show.
Revealed last week that Bruno, 67, had beaten comedian Alan Carr, 49, to the job.
However, both women stalled after it was revealed that Bruno would be paid the same as them.
“Amanda and Alesha will not sign their contracts until their pay issues are resolved,” our source added.
“After learning that Bruno would be receiving the same pay, they decided to hold off and stand firm.
“Initially, a seven-figure pay package was on the table for Bruno, but this was reduced due to concerns about a backlash — and now them receiving the same figure has caused a schism.
“Amanda and Alesha are dead set on this and will not budge.”

“Amanda and Alesha are powerful, talented, and capable women who work tirelessly. And they are right to be upset that a newcomer could walk into the show and be given the same deal as them.”
Alesha told Fabulous Magazine in December that she and Amanda had agreed to always stick together.
“Amanda and I made a pact at the start that we weren’t going to let anyone pit us against each other,” she explained.
Bruno, who was a judge on BBC’s Strictly from its inception in 2004 until last year, was pipped to the post at the last moment, according to The Sun.
According to sources, ITV supported Alan, while show creator Simon Cowell preferred Bruno.
“What Simon wants, Simon gets – and Bruno was his hire,” a source added.
Depending on contracts, the foursome will be photographed together for the first time tomorrow at the Palladium when the live auditions begin.
It was revealed in November that David Walliams, 51, had left BGT.
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 47, are back as hosts.
