Residents of Kahiro have expressed strong disapproval of the murder, highlighting that this is the second occurrence in a brief period, with a previous incident involving the killing of a police officer in the same vicinity.
They have additionally urged the government to oversee the sale of alcohol and the ownership of bars in the vicinity, citing a connection between these activities and the security challenges in the region.
“There was a young police officer killed at the scene, today, it is a woman. The things happening around Kirinyaga are not good and even as the government issues licenses to alcohol sellers and bar owners, they should consider these regulations”, a resident cited.
