White House Feast: The Bidens’ Exclusive Menu for Ruto & Rachel
President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto are scheduled to attend a state dinner at the White House on Thursday evening, in response to an invitation extended by President Joe Biden.
This marks the first time in 15 years that an African leader has received such an invitation.
A notable inclusion on the dinner menu is butter-poached lobster and a white chocolate basket featuring banana ganache, raspberries, peaches, and candied lime zest.
President Ruto embarked on his four-day state visit to the United States on Monday.
First Lady Jill Biden disclosed during a media briefing on Wednesday that the elegant dinner will take place beneath the stars, within a glass pavilion, providing guests with a celestial view.
The occasion is significant for the US, as state dinners serve as a grand gesture of diplomatic unity when hosting foreign dignitaries.
