Vile Thugs Jailed for Horrendous Alleyway Rape
Three vile thugs who took turns raping a woman in an alleyway in the city center have been incarcerated.
Twenty-year-olds Miguel Clino and Devon Cato, along with 21-year-old Nizandro Caimanque, attacked the woman as she walked through Barking, East London, in the early hours of 10 July last year.
At approximately 6 a.m., the three men forced her down an alley before committing the “horrendous and sickening” assault.
Each of the men took turns raping the woman, and a security guard alerted the police when he saw the woman being carried while monitoring CCTV from a nearby residence.
The men were apprehended nearby, and the victim, who had no memory of the assault, assisted specially trained Metropolitan Police officers in putting them behind bars.
In January, after a two-week trial, a jury found all three defendants guilty of rape.
Today, the defendants returned to Snaresbrook Crown Court, where they were each sentenced to more than 22 years in prison.

Clino, from Barking, was sentenced to eight years in prison, Cato, from East Ham to seven years, and Caimanque, also from East Ham to seven-and-a-half years in prison.
Detective Sergeant Harry Nunez of the Metropolitan Police Department’s East Area Serious Sexual Offenses Team stated, “This was a heinous assault on a young woman who was targeted and subjected to sustained, serious sexual violence.”
“I would like to acknowledge the bravery of the victim, who has supported this investigation throughout.
“The actions taken early on in the investigation by the police to secure crucial evidence, such as forensics and CCTV, were also crucial in constructing a compelling case against the evil men responsible for this heinous and sickening crime.”
The investigation was led by Detective Constable Ben Wallen, who stated, “The outcome of this case would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of officers at the scene and the assistance of my colleagues in the Serious Sexual Offences team.”
“I hope this outcome will reassure anyone who has been a victim of sexual violence that the police will work tirelessly to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.”
