Video of a girl crossing dangerous bridge on flooded river angers Kenyans
A viral video circulating on social media features an unidentified young girl bravely crossing a narrow bridge over a river swollen with water as she makes her way to school.
In the video, eliciting varied responses from Kenyan social media users, the young girl can be observed endeavoring to maintain her composure by clutching onto the trees positioned along the slender bridge while cautiously making her way across.
The young girl donned a school uniform in a shade of deep blue and carried a backpack. It appeared as though she leaped from the bridge, only to regain her composure upon successfully crossing the seemingly perilous river below.
Comedian Eric Omondi, among those who have commented on the video, has expressed disapproval towards politicians for neglecting their duty to construct and enhance infrastructure, such as bridges.
The comedian highlighted that if the girl attempts to cross the perilous bridge, she exposes herself to the possibility of fatal consequences, as the river beneath has the potential to cause her harm in the event of a fall.
“How do these leaders even sleep at night??? So this little girl faces death every morning. If he makes one small mistake, that’s it😡, WE LOSE HIM!!! This child can lose his life just because of a GREEDY, GLORIOUS, and MURDERER!!!” Eric Omondi said.

He proceeded to declare his intention to locate the young girl featured in the video along with her family, aiming to assist them in relocating to a secure environment.
“I am looking for this girl, we have to save her. We will bring him and his family to Nairobi. EVEN CROSSING THIS BRIDGE OF DEATH AGAIN. Please find her. If you recognize this place please comment or DM the PLACE.,” Eric said.
Online users have persistently responded to the video, and various individuals, including politicians, parents, neighbors, and the individual who captured the footage, have faced criticism regarding the incident.
