Undercover Nighttime Raids Shake Syokimau: Homeowners in Distress over Increasing Robberies(CCTV VIDEO)

Residents of Syokimau were alarmed by the spate of robberies targeting private residences. With suspects allegedly orchestrating their raids at night.

On Monday, June 19, CCTV cameras captured three thieves breaking into several homes. Stealing unknown-valued valuables, and terrifying the unwary victims.

In a well-planned operation, the trio targeted a vehicle parked in front of a residence and seized unidentified items left inside.

CCTV footage depicted the robbers approaching the residence in a composed manner while carrying out their mission.

In a separate incident, a suspect forced his way into a residence and stole several household items, including a television.

These separate occurrences raised safety concerns for the residents and their property.

A portion of Kenyans speculated that landlords and security guards may have collaborated with the gangs and that the robberies may have been an inside job.

The victims pleaded with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to expedite the investigations and apprehend the suspects who were fearlessly roaming the streets.

Others urged the National Police Service (NPS) to deploy more police officers to tighten security within the estates, as some parents expressed concern for the safety of their children.

The citizens of Syokimau are petitioning the government for assistance in eliminating criminals.

If the intruder encounters the homeowner or other occupants, the situation may escalate into violence. Others opined that this can result in physical injuries or even deaths, compounding the impact on victims and their loved ones.

National Police Service (NPS) warned in November 2022 that thugs primarily target pedestrians, businesses, and residential areas. The victims are either robbed on the street, carjacked, assaulted, or killed.

The police advised Kenyans not to use mobile phones and laptops in traffic, not to carry ATM cards, and not to leave bags, wallets, or other valuables in their vehicles.
