UK Police Release Findings of Plane Intercepted by Military Jet

A Kenyan plane en route to London Heathrow was intercepted by a British Airforce aircraft, and the UK’s Essex Police have released a report detailing their findings.

In a statement accessed by PoliticalPulseChat, no significant security concern was established during the investigations.

The aircraft was diverted to London Stansted Airport for a thorough security check after being intercepted in midair. The plane that departed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) just after 9 a.m. on Thursday was a Boeing 737-800.

According to the British police, the investigation into the potential threat on board the aircraft included interviews with cabin crew and passengers.

“Officers have determined that there is nothing suspicious aboard a flight that was diverted to Stansted Airport. Officers conducted investigations and determined that there was nothing of concern on board.

“The plane has been returned to the airport, which remained operational throughout the incident,” read a portion of the police statement.

Given the presence of security personnel awaiting the plane’s arrival at Stansted Airport, it was reported in major British publications that an explosives threat had been made against the aircraft.

However, the police did not disclose the precise nature of the reported and investigated threat.

The company disclosed that they contacted Kenyan authorities after receiving a security alert from British security agencies at approximately 10:30 a.m.

The Kenyan airline, on the other hand, maintained that no one was injured and that the safety of all passengers was assured throughout the flight.

However, the company refuted allegations that the aircraft took an unusual route before entering British airspace.

The false report claimed that the aircraft flew to Russia and Tunisia before arriving in London.
