Uganda’s Ghetto Kids Smash Golden Buzzer Record on Britain’s Got Talent
“We are 30 kids living in one house. One large family, the children stated.
Ugandan Ghetto Kids made history by receiving the Golden Buzzer during their performance on Britain’s Got Talent.
Bruno Tonioli, a new judge on the show, pressed his golden buzzer in the middle of the Kids’ magical dance performance.
They were dancing to J Balvin and WIlly William’s Mi Gente.
“I’ve to do it now,” Tonioli, an Italian choreographer said before pressing the buzzer.
A judge or host presses the golden buzzer when they want a particular audition to advance immediately to the live shows.
Typically, it is pressed after the performance.
Simon Cowell, the creator of the Got Talent franchise, who was also on the judging panel, said “We’ve never had that before,”.
Tonioli interjected saying “I got it wrong!”
Cowell added; “That’s never actually happened… Normally the golden buzzer is pressed afterward… He gave you the golden buzzer and you performed with the confetti, it was magical.”

The manager of the dance group Triplets Ghetto Kids, Dauda Kavuma a.k.a. Teacher Teacher, stated that it was their first time in London.
“I have 30 kids that I’m taking care of, and we are using music, dance, and drama to make life better,” Dauda Kavuma said.
“We are 30 kids living in one house. One big family,” the kids said.
“I just wanna say you’re absolute superstars every single one of you… What you are doing is incredible and we are honored that you’ve come to Britain’s Got Talent,” Judge Alesha Dixon said.
The TV personality and author went on: “You’ve lit up the stage, and the energy in the room and joy is incredible. Thank you.”
Actress and singer Amanda Louise Holden said: “Your talent is unbelievable. And it felt to me like you raised the bar on Britain’s Got Talent, so well done.”
Bruno Tonioli said: “I was exploding. I’m telling you. You should be proud of yourself. I can’t wait to see you back. That’s all I can say.”
Simon Cowell said: “I think it’s incredible that you are so young. You found all the way and no fear, this is an audition we gonna remember. And it was brilliant. That’s all the show is all about. And that’s what the golden buzzer is for.”
