Tribute to Mother and Daughter by Epsom College Headteacher’s Family

Emma Pattison had a “warm, welcoming smile and sparkling, blue eyes, full of optimism,” according to her family, and she was very close to her daughter.

The family of the late headmistress of Epsom College, Emma Pattison, described her and her daughter Lettie as “inseparable” when paying tribute to them.

Police believe they were murdered by her husband, who was also discovered dead at a residence on the grounds of the independent school on February 5.

His legal shotgun was located nearby.

Mrs. Pattison, 45, was described as “everything one could hope for in a daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend, teacher, and so much more” in a statement released by Surrey Police.

They further stated: “Emma had a friendly, warm smile and bright blue eyes filled with optimism. Over the past eleven days, we have observed that the sky has been bright blue with a warm pink glow…”

Seven-year-old Lettie was “Emma’s pride and joy,” they said.

The little girl was described as “adorable” and “vibrant”, with “compelling curiosity, a heart-melting smile, and intelligence beyond her years.”

The family proceeded: “The mother and daughter were inseparable, and we take comfort in the fact that this will continue.

“Our family is extremely close, and Emma and Lettie placed family at the center of their universe.

The Epsom College community had become an integral part of their universe.
