Tragic Twist: KCSE Teacher Fatally Struck by Helicopter Blades in Garissa
A teacher was fatally impacted by helicopter blades in Masalani, Ijara, Garissa County, on Tuesday.
The teacher was reportedly supervising the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, as stated by EALA representative Falhada Iman.
The mishap transpired as the invigilator had just returned from the deputy county commissioner’s office with the day’s examination papers.
According to Nation publication source Solomon Chesuti, Garissa County Commissioner, the educator was near the departing helicopter. Following that, the propellers struck him.
This incident occurred within a day of two additional helicopter catastrophes that occurred in the adjacent Wajir County. On Monday around noon, the initial incident transpired when a helicopter transporting Abey Jimaale, an Arabajahan MCA, collided with the Wajir Airport runway during takeoff.
