Tragedy Strikes: Bungoma Governor’s Brother Killed in Accident
On Sunday, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka announced the passing of his brother, Noah Shikhila Lusaka, due to a car accident.
The accident reportedly took place on the Kamukuywa-Chesamis Road in Bungoma County.
The governor expressed his grief on Sunday via his official social media channels, lamenting the loss of his brother, which he said had taken away a beloved family member.
“I am deeply saddened to announce the untimely demise of my beloved brother, Noah Sikhila Lusaka, in a car accident. My utter sympathies go to my mother, siblings, friends, and extended family during this awfully difficult time,” read the announcement.
The governor grieved for his brother as a refined individual whose manner influenced all those around him.
“As we grieve this profound loss, I find solace in cherishing the outstanding memories we shared. He leaves an indelible mark that will forever remain engraved in our hearts,” mourned Lusaka.

The information about the deadly accident shows that Noah’s car collided with a cane trailer in Kamukuywa Market, leading to his immediate death.
Regional leaders, including Members of Parliament, have expressed their condolences to Governor Lusaka for the loss of a family member.
“Devastated by the abrupt death of Engineer Noah Lusaka, a younger brother to Governor Kenneth Makelo Lusaka that occurred yesterday through a road accident.
“My heartfelt condolences to Governor Ken Lusaka and the whole family of the late Mzee Lusaka and Mama Rhoda,” mourned Member of Parliament for Kanduyi, John Makali.
This incident occurred just one week after a fatal accident resulted in the death of an individual who had run as a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Member of County Assembly (MCA) candidate for Lumakanda ward in 2022.
Godfrey Mapesa from Kakamega reportedly died on Sunday, April 14, in an accident involving his private vehicle.
