Three dead in Machakos road accident
Three people have died in a grisly road accident in Mavoko, Machakos County.
The three, a bodaboda rider and his two pillion passengers died on the spot after the motorcycle he was riding got involved in a head-on collision with a private car in the Mua Hills area, Athi River subcounty on Tuesday.
Athi River South subcounty police commander Jos Mudavadi said the incident along the Mua Hills-Mombasa Highway road at about 12. 40pm.
It was reported at Kyumbi police station as a fatal road traffic accident incident report at 1.35 pm.
“It occurred today at about 12.40 pm along Mua Road in the Mathatani area. Involved a motor vehicle of Mercedes Benz make being driven by a 41-year-old man,” Mudavadi told PoliticalPulseChat.

Mudavadi said the vehicle was being driven from Mua Hills towards the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway when the accident occurred.
“Upon reaching the scene of the accident, he collided head-on with a motorcycle that was being ridden by one Titus Nzili Kimina from the opposite direction. As a result of the accident, the rider and his two unknown male pillion passengers died on the spot,” Mudavadi said.
He said the rider crossed from his traffic lane and rammed into the said vehicle leading to the deaths.
Mudavadi said the scene was processed and cleared by traffic officers from Kyumbi police station.
The wreckage was towed to the same police station while the body was removed to Montezuma Funeral Home in Machakos town pending identification of the unidentified ones and autopsy.
