Ms. Onyancha also mentioned that one individual was taken into custody on Friday, bringing the total number of people taken into custody to 32.
The number of members of the starvation cult that were believed to have perished while under the leadership of the controversial preacher Paul Mackenzie has remained at 613.
It is alleged that Mackenzie indoctrinated his followers into starving themselves to death in the hopes of “meeting Jesus.”
Even though he denied the allegations against him during the trial, he is still being held in custody at this time.
