The Rich Guest List at Ruto’s Historic US State Dinner
United States President Joe Biden hosted a significant state dinner at the White House in Washington DC to honor President William Ruto’s historic state visit.
This dinner marked the conclusion of Ruto’s visit to the United States, during which important investment agreements were signed to strengthen the relationship between the USA and Kenya.
After sealing these crucial deals, Biden and First Lady Jill Biden invited President Ruto and his wife Rachel to the state dinner, which saw the attendance of more than 500 guests.
Among the attendees were prominent figures from various sectors including former presidents, actors, politicians, and media personalities.
The Kenyan delegation accompanying Ruto included Meg Whitman, the Kenyan ambassador, Opiyo Wandayi (Senate Minority leader), Anne Waiguru (Chairperson of the Council of Governors), John Waiguru, Adan Mohamed, Noordin Haji (Chief of National Intelligence Service), and Hussein Mohamed (State House Spokesperson).
Also present were David Ndii (President Ruto’s economic advisor), Cecily Mbarire (Embu Governor), Kimani Ichung’wah (National Assembly Majority leader), Korir Sing’oei (Foreign Affairs PS), as well as Ruto’s children; Stephanie Ruto, June Ruto, and Cullie Ruto.
