Survivor Accuses Mackenzie of Ordering Children’s Starvation in Kilifi Cult

A Kilifi cult survivor has revealed how she and her two children were forced to starve at Shakahola by the controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie.

Philomena Kiilu stated that she received information that she could purchase a good piece of land in Shakahola for as little as KSh 3,000, and she did not hesitate to purchase it.

According to a report by the People Daily, Kiilu stated that she traveled to Shakahola with her two children before her husband joined them.

She registered at the entrance and was assigned a temporary structure within the compound upon her arrival.

Three days later, she was informed that she would serve Mackenzie, who was referred to as the “king.”

“My responsibilities included cleaning and cooking for the “king,” and at night I would return to my hut. This is how I became close with the Mackenzie family,” she told detectives in her statement.

Action strategy A few days later, three men would storm her hut and hand her an action plan with strict instructions for her and her children to adhere to.

According to the rules, children were to be starved until they died so that they could “meet God and escape the suffering of the world.”

Men were to come next, then women. Mackenzie was to be informed of the deaths to facilitate funeral arrangements.

In addition, children were prohibited from attending school, and all adherents were forbidden from visiting the hospital.

Also prohibited was intimacy during fasting.

Kiilu attempted to flee after learning this, as she could not comprehend how her children could starve.

She attempted to flee on multiple occasions until January when she finally succeeded.

After reporting the incident to the police, no action was taken.
