Sifuna can be Great Foreign Affairs CS in the Future – Kalonzo

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has expressed the opinion that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has the potential to become an excellent Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs in the future.

On Sunday, Kalonzo expressed that a nation requires a positive reputation internationally, and he noted that Sifuna, being an effective communicator, is well-suited for that role.

He observed that if allowed to choose the next Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, he would unquestionably select Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

He compared Sifuna’s ability to communicate to his own and the late Robert Ouko’s, highlighting that despite having worked in various ministries in the past, he is primarily recognized for his role in the Foreign Affairs portfolio.

“You know the country wants a good image outside, people have forgotten that I was the minister for Education, Environment, and Tourism but they remember that I was the minister for foreign affairs. Kenyans remember Robert Ouko. If the time comes and I am in a place where I can choose the Minister of Foreign Affairs that will be Edwin Sifuna. I’m not saying when. He is most qualified, he understands the law. He can make an excellent CS,” Kalonzo said.

“This young man is a communicator and I thank God for him. Soon, whatever it is, this guy will want in this Nairobi, or Kenya give it to him because he is able.”

Kalonzo characterized Sifuna as one of the boldest emerging leaders in the nation.

The leader of the Wiper party and former Vice President urged other leaders to follow Sifuna’s example in terms of their communication style and timing.

“If there is a brave person in Kenya, this is your young senator. He is brave. He is a communicator. For leadership matters, my brothers, MPs, and other leaders you also need to communicate as clearly as Sifuna does,” he added.

Kalonzo and other Azimio leaders visited Kenyatta Market following a church service at Nairobi Baptist.
