SHOCKING STUNT- Juja MP ‘Kidnaps Himself’ in Bizarre Plot Gone Wrong — Police EXPOSE Juicy Details of Hotel Hideout, Fake Torture, and Crooked Cronies
Police have stood by their claims that Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi staged his own abduction. They shared a detailed timeline of how the incident was planned and carried out.
While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, May 28, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, along with top officers including DCI boss Amin Mohammed, said that three people had been arrested. Among them is the Juja Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Chairperson, who is believed to have helped organize the fake kidnapping.
According to Kanja, the suspects’ confessions revealed that the MP had arranged the staged abduction himself.
“It’s hard to believe that a sitting MP would go this far to fake his own kidnapping. It caused public panic and fear,” said Amin. “But thanks to thorough investigations, we were able to prove that he wasn’t kidnapped.”
He added that police tracked Koimburi’s movements from when he attended church to the hotel where he later spent the night. Investigators even identified the exact room he stayed in.
The CDF Chair told officers that on May 25, he attended church with Koimburi. After the service, he claimed the MP was allegedly taken by two men in a silver Subaru Forester. He said he only found out about the MP’s “rescue” from a coffee farm after getting a call from the MP’s family.
However, another suspect—an associate of Koimburi—gave a different story. He revealed that the CDF Chair had asked to borrow his Subaru Forester, which investigators confirmed was the vehicle used during the fake abduction.

The associate was told the car would be used to transport extra security for the MP at the church. Later that day, he followed instructions from the CDF Chair and went to his home, where he met a third suspect and three others. They used the CDF Chair’s Honda CR-V to visit the Full Gospel Church to scout the route.
Later, the associate was asked to drive back to the church with two men, who would later pretend to abduct the MP. Once Koimburi was ‘taken,’ they drove to the Jacaranda Coffee Research area via Kabogo Road. There, the MP reportedly told them to stop near another waiting vehicle — a Honda CR-V.
After stepping out of the Subaru, Koimburi’s associate claimed the two men warned him to stay silent.
The third suspect admitted to driving the MP to a hotel, where he had drinks and spent the night with the alleged kidnappers on May 25.
The next day, on May 26, the suspect said he picked up Koimburi using the same Honda CR-V and drove him to the spot where the MP later claimed to have been dumped. Before leaving the vehicle, Koimburi tore his clothes with the suspect’s help to make it look like he had been tortured.
IG Kanja confirmed the arrest of the three suspects and said both vehicles—the Subaru Forester and the Honda CR-V—have been taken in for further investigations. He also urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the case.
After being “found” at the coffee farm on May 26, Koimburi was taken to a hospital in Ruiru for first aid and later moved to Karen Hospital. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua visited him that afternoon and claimed the MP had suffered soft tissue injuries and damage to his vocal cords, making it difficult for him to speak.
