Sakaja Bodyguard Slap and Shove Away Street Boys Blocking His Motorcade(Video)
Thursday night, bodyguards for Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja repelled a group of disorderly street urchins who attempted to obstruct his motorcade.
After the inversion, the street children halted Sakaja’s convoy and demanded that he address their plights.
The action provoked the retainers of Sakaja, who intervened immediately to block their access to his vehicle.
The video that went viral featured the governor’s security personnel restraining the disorderly street children, who were fervently pleading for his assistance.
One young man, in particular, stood valiantly in front of the governor’s vehicle while grasping a fishing rod. Evidently, the street urchin, whose left limb was visibly injured, sought medical attention.
Despite this, he was pushed aside by one of the officers to make way for the vehicle carrying the governor.
While some street urchins expressed sorrow over the boy’s injury, others denounced the bodyguards for what they considered to be an inhumane action.
The children then attempted to stop the governor by chasing behind his fleet, but they were obstructed by police officers, who even struck their suspected ring leader before driving away.

The limping child was observed being struck in the back by a police officer, who subsequently pulled him to the ground.
Despite the confrontation between the guardians and the children on the street, the governor failed to address the concerns that the children had raised.
Thursday evening, Sakaja conducted a citywide assessment of a proposal to restore walkways. The governor has stated that the commencement of the project is scheduled for the following week.
“Late last night in the CBD, together with our chief of staff, a team of engineers, and awarded contractors, we aligned on major improvement works on walkways set to commence downtown next week,” read part of Sakaja’s statement.
“Our Green Army mko top! Nairobi is flowing. Thanks for the great work you are doing on our drainage system,” he added, praising Nairobi County employees cleaning drainages amid the El Nino rains.
