Ruto’s State House Meeting to Discuss Gachagua – UDA Whip Osoro Reveals
Kenya Kwanza Coalition’s MPs plan to reprimand Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in a meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning, as revealed by Majority Chief Whip Sylvanus Osoro.
The meeting, set to take place at State House, will include the Head of State and all Kenya Kwanza legislators on Tuesday morning, before a parliamentary session.
On Monday, Osoro disclosed that one of the agenda items for the meeting between Ruto and the UDA MPs is to admonish Gachagua.
Speaking to journalists, Osoro mentioned that Gachagua had exhibited tribal politics, particularly through his stance on “Mountain’s Politics.”
“We expect the President to advise his deputy to abandon tribalism and concentrate on a national agenda. If the President doesn’t, members will inform the DP that his politics are too tribal,” stated Osoro.
Osoro further commented that Gachagua’s position on the One Man One Shilling One Vote debate has been divisive, suggesting it aims to marginalize certain communities.

There are also rumors that the Deputy President has neglected his duties on multiple occasions involving the President.
Media reports indicated that the DP did not meet the President at the airport upon his return from Switzerland on Monday.
Despite rising tensions within the UDA Camp, there are speculations that the President called the meeting to rally support for the 2024 Finance Bill.
Reports on Monday evening revealed that UDA MPs, alongside Azimio rebels and independent MPs collaborating with the Ruto administration, were invited to the meeting to support the Kenya Kwanza agenda.
This meeting occurs as the Finance Committee is set to present a report to Parliament on Tuesday, following public participation exercises on the Finance Bill.
The Committee is expected to present the bill despite widespread opposition from Kenyans.
