Five prominent Kenyan leaders have been featured in Top Charts Africa’s list of the 30 most talked-about African personalities of 2024.

The annual ranking, based on insights from The Social Chart, highlights individuals who sparked significant online conversations between January 1 and November 3, 2024. Data from advanced social media monitoring and Google Analytics informed the compilation, according to the publication.

President William Ruto secured the second spot on the list, trailing only Nigerian music icon Wizkid. Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, currently vying for the African Union Commission (AUC) Chairperson’s role, ranked fifth.

Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua came in 12th, while former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino placed 14th and 27th, respectively.

Other high-profile figures who dominated conversations include Nigerian superstar Davido (3rd), billionaire Aliko Dangote (6th), and Baltasar Engonga from Equatorial Guinea, whose leaked scandalous videos earned him the 24th spot.
