Ruto, Gachagua Raise Ksh 100M For Ichung’wah Overnight
President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua spearheaded efforts alongside their political supporters to gather funds for a foundation overseen by Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah.
Ichung’wah marked the 10th anniversary of the Kikuyu Constituency Education Foundation (KICE) on Thursday and inaugurated an endowment fund aimed at aiding the education of more than 300 students within his electoral area.
“We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support and generosity shown towards the KICE Foundation as we celebrated a remarkable milestone of a decade dedicated to transforming lives and nurturing dreams within our community,” Ichung’wah stated.
“With the collaborative efforts of our friends and partners, over Ksh100 million was raised, a testament to our collective belief in providing opportunities for those in need. We extend heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the success of last night’s event,” he further clarified.
Supported by the Member of Parliament, the foundation received a substantial donation on its inaugural day, with commitments from politicians to raise funds aimed at enhancing educational initiatives within the constituency.
“Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many, fostering a brighter and more inclusive future for all,” Ichung’wah appreciated.

One week prior, President William Ruto and DP Rigathi Gachagua collected more than Ksh8.8 million in support of the vernacular artist Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu, also known as Samidoh, during the inauguration of the Samidoh Foundation.
The initiative was inaugurated at Parklands Sports Club in Nairobi on December 1, where Gachagua commended Samidoh for the endeavor aimed at empowering young boys and supporting the underprivileged within the community.
He highlighted that the initiative mirrored the initiative undertaken by his spouse, Second Lady Dorcas Rigathi, who has also been championing the same course.
During the fundraiser, President Ruto and Gachagua contributed Ksh1 million each.
