Ruto Flies to Dubai For 10-Minute Speech
On Monday, February 12, President William Ruto is scheduled to be in Dubai to participate in the World Governments Summit (WGS).
The President has received an invitation to present a brief 10-minute speech on the acceleration and transformation of the government.
The presentation scheduled for the Plenary Hall at 1.0 will occur from 10:30 to 10:40 am on Tuesday, February 13th.
WGS theme for 2023 is “Shaping Future Governments” with different governments, international organizers, and leaders taking part in the conversation.
This aims to achieve global collaboration, empowering governments to recognize inventive approaches to address upcoming challenges.
WGS believes that the Summit will serve as a source of inspiration and empowerment for the upcoming generation of governments.

As per WGS, the proceedings commenced on Sunday, February 11, featuring an inaugural session headed by Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Fahad AlTurki, Director General Chairman of the Board at the Arab Monetary Fund.
Mohamed AlHussaini, the Minister of State for Financial Affairs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), participated in the inaugural session as well.
The official commencement of the event took place on Monday, featuring introductory remarks by Mohammad AlGergawi, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the UAE and Chairman of the World Governments Summit. He addressed the theme of Government Acceleration and Transformation.
President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, who had previously journeyed to Qatar, is scheduled to speak at the Summit on Monday.
Altogether, more than 200 speakers are scheduled to present their speeches at the Summit.
President William Ruto is set to lead the Kenyan delegation, participating in Ministerial Meetings and Roundtables.
