Raila Warns Kenya Kwanza, Condemns Obstruction of Bi-Partisan Talks
Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, has issued a stern warning to the Kenya Kwanza government, accusing its members of attempting to sabotage the ongoing bipartisan talks.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Mr. Odinga accused the party led by President William Ruto. Of inciting the opposition to scuttle the ongoing dialogue by crippling parties affiliated with Azimio, most notably the Jubilee Party.
Odinga reiterated that Azimio’s decision to engage in dialogue. With the government was not motivated by fear but by a desire to achieve national stability.
Odinga warned Kenya Kwanza that their shortsighted intransigence, dishonesty, and musical chairs game risk derailing a very important national agenda.
“We remind Kenya Kwanza for the last time that we did not agree to negotiations due to our weakness. We remain committed to the spirit of peace and stability that made the negotiations necessary. We’ll never negotiate out of fear, however.”

According to Odinga, the latest request by Jubilee Party members led by EALA MP Kanini Kega. Who is now affiliated with Kenya Kwanza, to include the party in negotiations is a dishonest act.
Moreover, he asserts that the misbehaving Jubilee members are Kenya Kwanza spies. Dispatched to sabotage the negotiations, a move that could prove “expensive” for the government.
“The attack on Azimio is therefore a state-sponsored assault on multipartyism and a continuing indication that Kenya Kwanza remains dishonest and contemptuous of the dialogue process in which respect for the autonomy of political parties is one of our objectives,” he stated.
“The most recent manifestation of this contempt is the letter from UDA-backed Jubilee members demanding the inclusion of Jubilee in the negotiations, failing which they will seek legal redress.”
Odinga added, “Kenya Kwanza is manifestly working through its hired proxies to scuttle the negotiations or cripple them through endless litigation.” These games could prove very expensive.”
MP Kega protested the exclusion of Jubilee Party representation from the proposed membership of the bipartisan select committee on Wednesday.
