Puzzle as Woman Is Found Dead in Mysterious Circumstances Close to Her Home
On Saturday morning, police in Kiambaa, Kiambu County, were called to a troubling scene after the lifeless body of a young woman was discovered in the Kamutaro area along the Ruaka-Banana Road.
Local residents, alarmed by the sight, reported the matter to Karuri Police Station at approximately 7 a.m., leading officers to the location shortly after.
Upon arriving, the police identified the deceased as 28-year-old Jackline Nyambura Mungai. Her body was found partially unclothed, and although there were no visible injuries on her body, investigators observed an unsettling detail—a blue t-shirt had been tightly bound around her head, covering her mouth and nose. This raised suspicions of a possible suffocation, though the exact cause of her death has yet to be determined.
Following the discovery, crime scene detectives thoroughly processed the area, collecting evidence that could shed light on what transpired.
Jackline’s body was then transported to Kihara Level IV Hospital, where it will be stored until a postmortem examination is conducted.
The examination is expected to provide crucial details about how she died and possibly confirm whether suffocation was the cause.

She had reportedly been residing with a 44-year-old man named Nashon Kuria Wanjiru in a rented apartment in the Kamutaro area. The two had been living together for about four years.
