    Public Service Commission Shortlists Eight Candidates for CEO Position

    Public Service Commission Shortlists Eight Candidates for CEO Position

    The Public Service Commission (PSC) has selected eight candidates for the role of Secretary/Chief Executive Officer.

    These candidates consist of five men and three women from counties such as Homabay, Marsabit, Narok, Bungoma, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Garissa, and Migori.

    The shortlisted candidates are Sylvester Odhiambo Obong’o, Gababo Dido Jillo, Christopher Leparan Tialal, Joan Machayo, Juliana Nashipae Yiapan, Paul Famba, Mahat Osman Shale (PWD), and Bahati Keranga Mwita.

    Interviews with the candidates will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 9 am to 4:30 pm at the Commission House on Harambee Avenue in Nairobi.

    Obong’o will be interviewed first, and Mwita will conclude the day.

    PSC chairperson Anthony Muchiri stated that candidates must arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

    The candidates must bring their original ID cards, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, and other supporting documents and testimonials.

    Additionally, they must provide current and valid clearance from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a registered credit reference bureau, and a police clearance certificate.

    Candidates also need to provide a printed online self-declaration application acknowledgment receipt or self-declaration form stamped by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

    Furthermore, candidates with degrees from foreign universities should carry a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CUE) and, where applicable, a recommendation from relevant professional bodies and associations.

    The public is encouraged to participate in the process by May 20, 2024.

    On April 3, 2024, the Commission invited eligible individuals to apply for the position through print media and the PSC website.
