Presidential Escort Team Injured as Black Lexus Rolls at Great Rift Valley Lodge
Wednesday, June 21, their black Lexus 570 rolled around the Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha, Nakuru County. Resulting in injuries to members of the presidential escort team.
A source familiar with the matter confirmed the incident to GossipA2Z, adding that the vehicle lost control while speeding around a sharp bend.
According to the source, the vehicle passed him at high speed before crashing at the sharp bend.
The members were reportedly rushed to a hospital in Naivasha for medical treatment.
Elite officers from the General Service Unit (GSU) rushed to the scene to create a perimeter and calm the situation.
Witnesses were prohibited from surrounding the vehicle and taking photographs of the incident.
At the time of the article’s publication, however, information about the accident was scant.
The source informed this writer that President William Ruto had flown to Naivasha via helicopter before the WRC launch and was therefore absent from the convoy.

Unanswered calls made to National Police Service (NPS) spokesperson Resila Onyango proved futile.
Earlier that day in Naivasha, the head of state inaugurated the 2023 Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) World Rally Championship.
The event will begin on Thursday, June 22, and conclude on Sunday, June 25.
Ruto was photographed driving in Nakuru while wearing Safari Rally attire during the WRC event.
At the same time, a driver was charged with obstructing First Lady Rachel Ruto’s convoy along University Way in Nairobi on Wednesday, June 21.
During court proceedings, the suspect asserted that he waited 15 minutes after the passing of the convoy but was still taken into custody.
