President Ruto Reshuffles Principal Secretaries, Nominates 14 New Officials
President William Ruto has reshuffled principal secretaries, reassigning six roles and nominating 14 new officials. The new list includes individuals allied with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Key Changes in Leadership
According to a statement by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed on Thursday, Amos Gathecha has been promoted from the Public Service docket to Deputy Head of Public Services.
Additionally, Prof. Edwin Kisiangโani, who previously served in the ICT Ministry, has been appointed as a senior advisor and a member of the Presidentโs Council of Economic Advisors.

- Judith Naiyai Pareno โ Justice, Human Rights, and Constitutional Affairs
- Bonface Makokha โ Economic Planning
- Prof. Abdulrazak Shaukat โ Science, Research, and Innovation
- Stephen Isaboke โ Broadcast and Telecommunication
- Micheal Lenasalon โ Devolution
- Fikirini Katoi Kajindi โ Youth Affairs

Reassignments and Organizational Changes
President Ruto also reshuffled key positions to optimize government efficiency.
- Prof. Julius Bitok has been moved from Immigration to Basic Education.
- Teresia Mbaika is now PS for Aviation and Aerospace Development, moving from Devolution.
- Ishmael Madey was reassigned to Special Programmes.
- Harry Kimtai moved from Medical Services to Mining.
- Elijah Mwangi was assigned to the Sports Department, previously held by Peter Tum.
- Belio Kipsang, the former PS for Basic Education, now oversees Immigration and Citizen Services.
Governmentโs Strategic Shift
This reshuffle aims to enhance governance and position Kenya to benefit from emerging economic sectors. President Ruto emphasized that these changes align with Article 155(4) of the Constitution and are designed to improve service delivery.
