President Ruto Gifts KDF 9,000 Affordable Housing Units
In honor of KDF Day, President Ruto has granted the Kenya Defence Forces 9,000 units from the affordable housing initiative.
Ruto, speaking at the 12th KDF Day celebrations at Embakasi Garrison in Nairobi, stated that the best method to show appreciation for the service of the military was to give them homes.
He stated that the government was determined to make KDF an automatic beneficiary of the affordable housing program.
“Last week, we completed the procurement process in three different barracks to build 9,000 units of houses for our KDF,” President Ruto assured the officers.
The government concluded the procedure of acquiring construction equipment for the KDF engineering department.
By constructing roads, hospitals, schools, and bridges, Ruto instructed the military to develop and open up additional regions in Kenya.
A comprehensive program was also established to pave the way for taxpayer-funded upgrades to KDF equipment and facilities.

Strengthening the KDF would make it easier for them to defend the nation and repel hostile attacks.
Ruto praised the KDF’s efforts to maintain peace and stability in the nation and the region and vowed to continue his support for the armed forces.
“I convey appreciation to you for your service. Our neighborhood security, stability, and developments are our safety and growth. We honor the Kenya Defence Forces for their sacrifice, dedication, and bravery in defending and protecting our country and its interests against external aggression.
“Through their unmatched heroism — putting themselves in the line of fire — Kenya and the region enjoyed relative peace and stability, the necessary condition to our prosperity.
Ruto was accompanied to the occasion by the First Lady, Mama Rachel Ruto, the Defence Cabinet Secretary, Aden Duale, the Chief of Defence Forces, Francis Ogolla, and other KDF officers of high rank.
