Police Officer Brutally Stabbed to Death in Nairobi Bar Fight, Suspects at Large
A tragedy struck the parking lot of a bar in Embakasi, Nairobi, on Saturday morning when a police officer was brutally stabbed to death after an altercation during a Kalenjin Night event.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 4:50 am, has sent shockwaves through the community and prompted a police investigation. The victim, identified as Constable Nicholas Koech, 30, was attached to Jogoo House, the police headquarters in Nairobi.
According to a police OB seen by Gossipa2z.com, Koech’s lifeless body was discovered lying in a pool of blood, bearing a deep stab wound on the right side of his neck.
The officer’s body was later moved to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
The fatal stabbing took place after a commotion broke out among revelers leaving the bar. The manager of the bar, where the event was held, reported the incident to the police, prompting officers to rush to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found Koech’s body and quickly secured the area for further investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Embakasi notes the OB.
Details surrounding the altercation remain unclear, as security personnel at the venue stated they were unaware of what triggered the violent confrontation.

Authorities are now working to track down those responsible for the attack, who reportedly fled the scene before police arrived. The investigation is ongoing, with detectives following leads to apprehend the culprits involved in the tragic incident.
In a separate incident, a police officer stationed at Makongeni Police Station in Nairobi narrowly escaped a violent mob’s wrath after a fatal accident on Lusaka Road on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 pm when the officer, driving an Isuzu NQR Canter, was heading towards City Stadium.
Upon reaching Lusaka Road, the officer hit a male pedestrian, who tragically died on the spot. The situation quickly escalated as angry boda boda riders and members of the public confronted the officer, seeking to exact their form of justice.
Amid the chaos, a police patrol team in the vicinity arrived just in time to rescue the officer from the mob. He sustained injuries to his right elbow and multiple injuries to his back and was rushed to Huruma Nursing Home for medical treatment.
