Pastor Ezekiel Odero Escapes Overwhelming Crowd at New Life Church
On Saturday, June 24, the senior pastor of New Life International Church, Ezekiel Odero. Was forced to flee a crowd that had amassed to confront him.
After presiding over the groundbreaking of his Kisii branch. The pastor, who was under investigation for the indoctrination of believers and terrorism, was compelled to hold a rally.
However, he declined, stating that he feared breaking the law by holding a massive rally, which would be a recipe for anarchy.
“If we were to hold another service, we would not do so here due to the large number of attendees.
“There are so many people here that we cannot continue lest we cause chaos. Pastor Ezekiel stated to the media that he may travel to Bomet or another region for another event.
After being unable to continue the interview due to the swelling crowd, the controversial pastor left in his car.
Hundreds of individuals, including local government officials, church members, and the general public, attended his groundbreaking ceremony in Kisii.

Pastor Ezekiel also took advantage of the opportunity to thank the government for allowing him to expand his ministry, which was in the spotlight due to its association with the Shakahola massacre.
“Initially, I traveled to a different location for a branch’s dedication ceremony. They decided to move. As a spiritual father, I was required to offer my blessings.
“The new church will be constructed on 13 acres of land. Pastor Ezekiel stated, “We thank God for the government’s permission to come here and preach, which led to the salvation of many.”
Odero was released on Thursday, May 4, after posting bail of Ksh 1.5 million or an alternative bond of Ksh 3 million.
The court ordered him to report weekly to the police and prohibited him from commenting on the Shakahola massacre.
The pastor attempted to hold a massive Thanksgiving rally in Machakos County alongside Pastor Pius Muiru of Maximum Miracle Center immediately after his release.
However, he abandoned the project when the police revoked the permit. On Saturday, June 3, his attorney Danstan Omari asserted that the minister had lost Ksh500,000 due to the cancellation of the event.
