At 3:00 p.m., William Kabogo, nominated for the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, will face the committee. Lee Kinyanjui, proposed for the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry, will follow at 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence, and Foreign Relations vetted diplomatic nominees, including Noor Gabow (Consul General to Haiti), outgoing Agriculture CS Andrew Karanja, and ex-Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, nominated as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to UNEP.
Outgoing ICT CS Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u declined her appointment as Kenya’s Ambassador to Ghana, citing personal reasons. In her letter to the vetting committee, she explained, “I will not attend the approval hearing due to personal and family matters. Please consider this letter as formal notice.”
After the hearings, the Committee on Appointments will compile a report to be presented in the National Assembly during a special sitting on Thursday, January 16. Lawmakers will then vote on the nominees.
